CDL A Truck Driver Entry Level - Paid Training
ConfidentialEntry-Level CDL-A Drivers: Start With Paid Reefer Training This Western reefer lane is specifically open to trainees and rehires. After paid road training, drivers move into no-touch refrigerated freight averaging $1,000-$1,100 per week. WESTERN REEFER OPERATION Freight runs through seven Western states, primarily California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada and Arizona, with occasional Utah freight. Drivers typically stay out 12-14 days and take two days off. 1,800-2,200 miles per week No-touch freight Live loading and unloading appointments Day/night driving and weekend work PAID TRAINING Qualified trainees complete approximately 3-5 weeks and 200-250 behind-the-wheel hours. California trainee pay is $850 weekly. Orientation lasts no more than two days and pays $300 upon hire. PAY DETAILS $1,200-$1,500 average weekly earnings after training Reefer pay runs $0.02 per mile above comparable dry freight $25 short-haul pay on loads from 25-99 miles plus applicable sliding scale $25 stop pay for the first qualifying stop and $35 for additional stops Monthly performance bonus opportunity up to $0.06 per mile when requirements are met IMPORTANT HOME-TIME DETAIL During time off, the truck must be parked at the designated terminal and cannot be taken home.
