Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CDL A Truck Driver role based in Los Angeles, CA. The CDL A Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport goods to assigned destinations, following all DOT regulations and company policies. Typical daily tasks include conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing loads, maintaining accurate logs and delivery documentation, and communicating with dispatch about schedules, delays, or issues. The role involves driving local and regional routes as assigned, adhering to traffic laws, and practicing defensive driving at all times. Drivers are expected to keep their vehicles clean, report maintenance needs promptly, and provide courteous, professional service at customer locations. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and current DOT medical certification. Demonstrated experience operating commercial trucks, including safe loading, unloading, and backing maneuvers. Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and basic vehicle inspection and maintenance practices. Strong attention to safety, reliability, and punctuality, with the ability to follow route plans and delivery schedules. Effective communication skills for coordinating with dispatch, customers, and team members. Ability to handle physical aspects of the job, such as climbing into trucks, securing loads, and occasional lifting as required. Willingness to work full-time schedules, including possible early mornings, evenings, or weekends depending on operational needs. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in freight, transportation, or logistics is an advantage.
