Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CDL A Truck Driver role based in Richmond, VA. The CDL A Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles, transporting freight to designated locations, and following all federal, state, and company regulations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing and verifying loads, maintaining accurate logs and delivery documentation, and communicating with dispatch regarding schedules and route updates. The driver will also interact with customers and facility staff in a professional manner during pickups and deliveries, and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures. Experience with commercial vehicle operation, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections, basic truck maintenance awareness, and safe cargo handling. Strong time management, route planning, and navigation skills, with the ability to follow schedules and adapt to changing conditions. Effective communication and customer service skills for interacting with dispatch, team members, and customers in a professional manner. Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, including extended periods of driving, climbing in and out of trucks, and handling freight as needed. Reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and regulatory compliance in all driving and delivery activities. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience as a CDL A driver or in logistics/transportation is beneficial.
