CDL- A Truck Driver

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! In this vital role, you will operate tractor-trailers and specialized equipment to transport goods safely and efficiently. Your expertise in logistics, safety regulations, and vehicle handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. Position is for a Mon - Fri daily route schedule. All mileage paid in full, loaded or empty. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, dry van 53' trailers only, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, utilizing GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules. 95% No touch freight. Secure loads using equipment as required, ensuring proper cargo securing for safe transport. No Haz-Mat, Tankers, Doubles or Triples. Deliver freight accurately to various locations, including automobile transportation or logistics cargo handling sites, maintaining professionalism during customer interactions. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Maintain detailed electronic logs of driving hours, delivery records, and compliance documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Skills Proven experience with commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving in diverse environments. Knowledge of loading & unloading procedures. Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments. Ability to handle manual transmission trucks with manual handling skills for cargo loading/unloading. Familiarity with truck loading and unloading techniques using pallet jacks or other equipment when necessary (less than 5% of loads require driver assisted loading/unloading). Strong understanding of DOT regulations related to driver hours of service, safety standards. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, adherence to traffic laws, and customer service excellence.
