Role Description The CDL A Truck Driver role at Allen's Electric Motors Inc. is a full-time, on-site position based in Vivian, LA. The driver will be responsible for safely operating company trucks to transport industrial equipment, motors, pumps, and related materials to and from customer sites, warehouses, and job locations. Daily responsibilities include performing pre- and post-trip inspections, securing and loading cargo, following all DOT regulations and company safety policies, and maintaining accurate delivery and pickup documentation. The role also involves coordinating schedules with dispatch and service teams, communicating professionally with customers upon delivery, and assisting with basic material handling at job sites as needed. The CDL A Truck Driver is expected to support timely, reliable service that helps minimize customer downtime. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and current DOT medical certification. Demonstrated experience operating commercial trucks and handling industrial or heavy equipment loads safely. Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and standard transportation safety practices. Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections, identify mechanical issues, and report maintenance needs promptly. Strong attention to detail for documenting deliveries, maintaining logs, and following routing instructions. Effective communication and customer service skills when interacting with clients and internal teams. Capacity to work in an industrial environment, including lifting, moving, and securing equipment within safe limits. Reliable time management and ability to work full-time on-site in Vivian, LA, including occasional overtime as needed. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in industrial services or related fields is a plus.
