The driver will operate commercial vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently to designated locations, following all federal, state, and local regulations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing loads, maintaining accurate logs and delivery documentation, and communicating with dispatch regarding routes, schedules, and any issues on the road. The role involves adhering to company safety policies, performing basic vehicle upkeep, and representing Trans-Pro Inc. professionally with customers and the public. Drivers may be responsible for regional or long-haul routes depending on business needs. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and current DOT medical certification. Demonstrated experience operating commercial trucks and handling freight in compliance with safety and transportation regulations. Strong knowledge of DOT rules, hours-of-service requirements, and safe driving practices in various weather and road conditions. Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections, identify basic maintenance issues, and report concerns promptly. Reliable time-management skills, with the ability to follow route plans and meet delivery schedules. Clear communication skills for working with dispatch, customers, and team members, including accurate completion of logs and paperwork. Physical ability to manage loading/unloading tasks as required and to spend extended periods driving. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience as a CDL A driver or in transportation/logistics is strongly beneficial.
