East Shelby County drivers: reefer freight, $1,300 to $1,500 a week, paid training for new CDL holders. Reefer freight runs every day, so the miles stay steady. You train with a paid mentor first, then run solo. What you earn Paid every week during training $1,000 a week guaranteed for your first 3 months solo $1,300 to $1,500 a week once solo 1,800 to 2,000 miles a week $25 stop pay Weekly direct deposit Your week Reefer lanes through the South and Midwest. Drop and hook, live loads, live unloads and preloads. Home every two weeks, or on 34-hour resets depending on your lane. What new drivers ask us "How often will I see home?" Every two weeks, sometimes for 34-hour resets in between. "Will one ticket disqualify me?" Not by itself. Up to 2 moving violations in the past 2 years is accepted. "Does my CDL school count?" If it was 120 hours or more, yes. "What if I have a problem on the road?" Loads are planned for you, and your driver leader picks up the phone. "What if my first solo weeks are slow?" You still get at least $1,000 a week for your first 3 months solo. What happens after you apply A recruiter calls the same business day and goes over your license and record with you. Orientation takes 2 days at most; the hotel is covered, your bus ticket is reimbursed, and you get $300 for attending once hired. Then you ride 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor who coaches you on backing, logs, fueling and trip planning, and you are paid every week while you learn. When you are ready, you get your own assigned truck, about 1.5 years old on average. For your first 3 months solo, your pay will not drop below $1,000 a week. To qualify You must be 21 or older with a Class A CDL. New drivers need at least 120 hours from a CDL school; otherwise, 6 months of recent experience. We accept up to 2 moving violations in the last 2 years and no DUI/DWI in the last 10. You will also pass a DOT physical and a hair and urine drug test.
