Build Experience on No-Touch Reefer Freight Paid behind-the-wheel training leads into a Western refrigerated lane built for trainees and rehires, with longer reefer hauls and no-touch freight. TRAINING BEFORE SOLO DRIVING The paid training stage lasts approximately 3-5 weeks and includes 200-250 behind-the-wheel hours. Trainee pay is $850 per week. Orientation is limited to two days, with $300 paid upon hire. ONCE YOU GO SOLO $1,200-$1,500 average weekly earnings Approximately 1,800-2,200 miles per week Reefer mileage rate is $0.02 above comparable dry freight $25 short-haul pay on 25-99 mile loads plus sliding-scale pay $25 first qualifying stop and $35 for additional stops Performance bonus opportunity up to $0.06 per mile when monthly requirements are met SCHEDULE & RUNNING AREA Drivers normally run 12-14 days followed by two days off. Freight moves across Western states, and both day/night driving plus weekend work are required.
