This position primarily runs between Northern California / the Bay Area and Houston, Texas , with return freight back toward California. We are looking for a professional driver who values good equipment, consistent miles, safety, and reliable communication. Pay & Earnings $0.60–$0.68 per mile Approximately $1,800–$2,400 per week , depending on miles driven All dispatched miles paid Weekly pay Safety and performance bonus opportunities Detention pay when applicable Layover pay when applicable Extra stop pay when applicable Starting CPM will depend on experience, driving record, safety history, and reefer experience. Freight & Routes 100% no-touch freight Refrigerated / reefer freight Primarily frozen and temperature-controlled products Full truckload freight Primary lane between Northern California / Bay Area and Houston, Texas Consistent long-haul routing Return freight primarily back toward California Drivers are responsible for monitoring reefer temperature, reefer fuel level, trailer seals, and equipment throughout the trip. Equipment Drive newer, well-maintained equipment. 2024 or newer Freightliner Cascadia tractors Automatic transmissions Sleeper cabs Assigned truck whenever possible ELD and GPS equipped Modern safety technology Company fuel card Refrigerated trailers Well-maintained equipment We expect drivers to take care of assigned equipment and immediately report mechanical or safety concerns. Required Pre-Trip Inspections Daily pre-trip inspections are required. Drivers must properly inspect: Tires and wheels Brakes and air system Lights and reflectors Fluids and visible leaks Tractor and trailer connections Reefer unit operation Trailer condition Safety equipment Drivers must immediately report warning lights, damage, mechanical problems, or safety concerns before operating the equipment. Driver Responsibilities Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer Transport refrigerated freight safely and on time Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections Monitor reefer temperature throughout the trip Verify correct reefer settings before leaving the shipper Monitor reefer fuel level Follow DOT and FMCSA regulations Follow Hours of Service requirements Maintain accurate ELD logs Properly trip-plan each load Communicate pickup, delivery, delays, and load status with dispatch Maintain bills of lading and delivery paperwork Verify trailer seals and cargo security Report breakdowns or mechanical issues immediately Keep assigned equipment clean Represent the company professionally at shippers and receivers Driver Qualifications Valid Class A CDL OTR driving experience preferred Reefer experience preferred Current DOT Medical Certificate Acceptable MVR and driving history Acceptable PSP and safety history Must meet company insurance requirements Must pass DOT-required drug and alcohol testing Strong understanding of Hours of Service regulations Must be comfortable operating long-distance routes Must be dependable and communicate professionally Smartphone required for dispatch communication Must be willing to complete required daily inspections Must take care of company equipment Schedule & Home Time Full-time Solo OTR Primarily Northern California / Bay Area ↔ Houston, Texas Regular trips back toward California Drivers should generally expect approximately one week-long trips Opportunity to complete 34-hour resets at home when freight sch…
