If it was 120 hours or more, yes. "I am not good at backing yet." Nobody is on day one. You practice for weeks with a mentor beside you before you drive alone. "Do I pay for orientation?" No. Hotel covered, bus ticket reimbursed, and $300 once you are hired. "What if my first solo weeks are slow?" You still get at least $1,000 a week for your first 3 months solo. What happens after you apply A recruiter calls the same business day and goes over your license and record with you. Orientation takes 2 days at most; the hotel is covered, your bus ticket is reimbursed, and you get $300 for attending once hired. Then you ride 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor who coaches you on backing, logs, fueling and trip planning, and you are paid every week while you learn. When you are ready, you get your own assigned truck, about 1.5 years old on average. For your first 3 months solo, your pay will not drop below $1,000 a week.
