Job Description: CDL-A LOCAL / REGIONAL DRIVER — ATLANTA / CONYERS, GA | $0.70 CPM LOCAL Empire National Inc. is hiring experienced CDL-A drivers for a Local / Regional position based in Atlanta / Conyers, GA. WHY DRIVERS LIKE THIS POSITION $0.70 CPM for qualifying Local shifts of 300+ miles $250 minimum for qualifying Local shifts under 300 miles $50 per extra stop after the first 2 qualifying stops $100 Standby Pay , subject to conditions below $75 Local Layover Pay $20/hour Detention Pay after 2 hours $2,500 Sign-On Bonus Weekly Direct Deposit 2022–2026 Semi Equipment Frequent Home Time LOCAL / REGIONAL SCHEDULE Drivers handle Local and Regional pickups and deliveries within approximately a 350-mile operating radius from Atlanta / Conyers. This is not a guaranteed home-daily position . Depending on freight and Dispatch needs, 1–2 layovers per week may be possible , while some weeks may have none. Flexibility with occasional overnight assignments is required. PAY Local under 300 miles: $250 minimum per qualifying 11–14-hour shift Local 300+ miles: $0.70 CPM Regional assignments: $0.60 CPM Extra Stops: First 2 qualifying stops included in regular pay. Each additional qualifying stop pays $50 , with Dispatch confirmation Local Layover: $75 for a Dispatch-required 10-hour reset away from the home terminal on a Local assignment. No Regional layover pay Standby: $100 flat rate when Dispatch requires availability from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM and no trip is assigned. Not paid in addition to regular shift or mileage pay Detention: $20/hour after 2 hours, up to $100 per driver per Pro # . Notify Dispatch when detention is about to start Unload Assistance: $35/hour for approved pallet-jack or hand-unload assistance Mechanical Assistance: $30/hour for minor work requested or approved by Dispatch/Management BONUSES $2,500 Sign-On Bonus: $500 per quarter for five quarters, provided the driver works or is available to work at least 45 days during each quarter $250 Driver Referral Bonus: Paid after 30 days if the referred driver remains with the company Annual Bonus: $500 after 1 year / $1,000 after 2+ years, subject to eligibility REQUIREMENTS At least 12 months of recent, verifiable CDL-A driving experience Candidates with 12–24 months of experience require Safety and insurance approval Valid Class A CDL and current Medical Card 23 years of age or older Reasonably clean MVR and PSP , subject to Safety review Not prohibited from driving in the FMCSA Clearinghouse Must pass a pre-employment drug test Must meet applicable FMCSA and company safety requirements Flexible availability for Local and Regional assignments, including occasional overnight trips and layovers POSITION DETAILS 1099 independent contractor position. Weekly direct deposit every Friday after trip reports and receipts are submitted. We are looking for experienced CDL-A drivers who want consistent work and are comfortable handling both Local and Regional freight.
