4th Day TruckingCDL-A Local Intermodal Driver – Bell Gardens, CA Join a dedicated local intermodal operation serving the Los Angeles area, Inland Empire, and select routes north through the Grapevine. Drivers work a five-day schedule, return home daily, and handle a mix of preloaded containers, drop-and-hook moves, and live freight. Day and night shifts are available, with optional extra workdays. Pay Details & Schedule Listed Weekly Pay Options: $1,400–$1,800 Hourly Pay: $19.25 Stop Pay: $18.71 per stop Home Time: Daily, with a 10-hour break Schedule Options: Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday Shift Options: Day and night Workweek: 5 days, with optional extra days Holiday coverage varies; major-holiday volunteers are normally requested Job Details Dedicated local intermodal container operation Yard Location: Bell Gardens, CA Service area includes Los Angeles, the Inland Empire, and ramps in Long Beach, Los Angeles, Commerce, City of Industry, and Bloomington Routes north through the Grapevine, including Shafter and Lebec Mandatory northern runs include pickups from a facility in Shafter and deliveries to Lebec Freight includes drop-and-hook, live loads, live unloads, and preloaded containers Some loads require no-touch assistance Auto-dispatch account; drivers do not choose their routes Slip-seat operation; trucks remain parked at the Bell Gardens yard Drivers typically use their full 11-hour driving time, and some shifts may run up to the full 14-hour on-duty window depending on freight demand Job Requirements Valid Class A CDL Minimum 3 months of verifiable CDL-A experience Experienced first-seat drivers preferred/required Clean driving record Valid DOT Medical Card No SAP drivers Must be able to operate intermodal containers secured on chassis Must be flexible with dispatch-assigned routes, including mandatory Shafter/Lebec runs Must be able to work the assigned day or night schedule Equipment Intermodal containers secured on chassis Drop-and-hook equipment Live-load and live-unload operations Preloaded freight Slip-seat trucks based at the Bell Gardens yard
