CDL A Local Driver - Home Daily

Foremost Fabricators, a division of Patrick Industries, is seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL A truck driver to join our team. This role supports local deliveries with consistent routes and offers the benefit of being home daily. Foremost Fabricators is a fabricator of aluminum sheet metal and galvanized steel, FRP coil and sheet for the RV manufacturing industry. We are seeking individuals who are looking for long-term employment and growth, not temporary or short-term work. This role requires commitment, reliability, and consistency. Key Responsibilities: Safely transport materials to and from local customers (primarily within a 30-mile radius). Operate a Class A commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations and traffic laws. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer. Secure loads using ratchet straps (materials are pre-loaded by forklift team). Verify shipments against packing slips and obtain customer signatures upon delivery. Provide professional, courteous service as a customer-facing representative of the company. Communicate effectively with shipping leadership regarding routes, delays, and maintenance issues. Perform basic vehicle checks (oil, fluids, air) and report any concerns. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Valid CDL Class A license. Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience. Clean driving record (Good MVR). Ability to pass DOT physical and DOT drug screening. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attendance. Ability to work in various weather conditions. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a commercial vehicle. Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs. as needed. Frequent entering/exiting of truck and securing loads. Schedule: Monday - Friday, typically 40-50 hours/week. End time typically between 1:30pm-3:00pm (based on route). Home Daily. Pay: Negotiable, based on experience, starting at $28.00/hr. There are opportunities for cross-training and promotion/additional responsibilities on assigned machines or on other machines in plants and potential compensation for adding more value to the Team at Foremost.
