Allegiant Intermodal Memphis, TN 38118 · 1099 Contractor · Full-time $80,000–$120,000 per year, commission-based · Weekly pay · Company-provided equipment or bring your own Benefits: Weekly pay · Company-provided equipment (lease track) · Fuel card · Home daily (local) · Flexible schedule · Referral program [if offered] The short version Allegiant Intermodal runs containers between the Memphis rail ramps and customers across the Mid-South. We are adding CDL-A drivers on two tracks: lease drivers who run a company-provided truck, and owner-operators who run their own. Either way you are paid on the loads you move, settled weekly, and dispatched by people who answer the phone. Drivers who run their hours here clear $80K; the ones who treat it like a business clear $120K. Two ways to run with us 1099 Company Driver — you operate company-provided equipment; pay is commission-based. Owner-Operator — you operate and maintain your own equipment to DOT standard, with current insurance/authority where applicable; pay is commission-based. What the week looks like Local and regional container moves out of the Memphis rail ramps (BNSF, NS, CN, UP) — drop-and-hook, chassis, live loads and empty returns. Run your hours and your days; dispatch is on the board 6 AM–7 PM, so there is a live person the whole time you are moving. The one standing ask: one weekend day a month, your choice — we post the calendar, you claim your day. What you'll do Pre-trip, post-trip and en-route inspections, every time. Run your available hours inside FMCSA HOS — we plan to your clock, not against it. Keep paperwork clean and on time: BOLs, PODs, ELD logs, inspection reports, in-gate/out-gate tickets. Communicate with dispatch like a professional: ETAs, delays, problems, early. Owner-operators: keep your equipment to DOT standard; we will not put you under a load with a bad tire or an out-of-date annual. Qualifications (these are the carrier's minimums — we can't go below them, so please check before you apply) 22 or older, valid Class A CDL from your state of residence, current DOT medical card. At least 1 year of verifiable Class A experience in the last 5 years, with at least 8 months of it in the last 3. No more than one DOT-preventable crash or serious traffic offense in the last 12 months. No handheld-phone or texting violations in the last 6 months. No positive or refused drug/alcohol test in the last 10 years. No DUI/DWI, reckless driving, leaving the scene, or drug/alcohol charges in the last 5 years. Clean-enough MVR: 3 points or fewer on the 3-year review is pre-qualified; 4–5 goes to safety review. Owner-operators: reliable, well-maintained equipment with current insurance/authority where applicable. Benefits: Weekly pay · Company-provided equipment (company drivers) · Steady freight out of the Memphis ramps · Direct dispatch, no broker in the middle Nice to have: TWIC card · Prior rail-ramp or port experience · Hazmat endorsement. How to apply Apply here or call/text [phone] and ask for [Amanda / dispatch]. Have your CDL, medical card and the last 3 years of employment handy. We review every application within [2] business days, and the orientation is in Memphis, not out of state. Allegiant Intermodal contracts with independent drivers under 1099 agreements. Drug screen, MVR, PSP and employment verification required for all drivers. Equal opportunity. Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
