Job Description: CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver – Harrisburg, PA Home Every Day | $92,000 Average Annualized Earnings | $10,000 Bonus Looking for a local CDL-A driving position that keeps you close to home while offering strong earning potential and consistent year-round work? This Harrisburg intermodal opportunity lets you get home every day while hauling freight between local rail yards. Strong Earning Potential Drivers in this position have achieved average annualized earnings of approximately $92,000 over the past 6–12 months. In addition to mileage pay, there are several ways to increase your earnings: $0.62–$0.67 per mile $88 live-stop pay $57 drop/hook pay $23–$33 per hour detention Additional pay for qualifying Hazmat loads, driver unloads, assists, delays, and other activities $200/day new-hire training pay $210/day holiday pay $10,000 bonus available for a limited time Home Every Day This is a true local position. Drivers operate within approximately a 250-mile radius of Harrisburg, PA and return to the terminal for their time off. No NYC driving required. Available Schedules Drivers can choose from available schedules: Thursday–Monday Friday–Tuesday Start times between 4:00 PM and 11:00 PM Your start time will be discussed with the Recruiting Manager during your welcome call based on available openings. Drivers must be willing to work any available start shift, with more desirable shifts potentially becoming available based on seniority.. What You'll Do You'll haul intermodal freight between the two local Harrisburg rail yards , with priority loading and unloading at Norfolk Southern facilities. Drivers can expect approximately 2–5 loads per day while remaining within the local operating area. Hazmat Requirement A Hazmat endorsement is not required at hire , but drivers must obtain the endorsement within 60 days of hire . Qualifying Threat Assessment and fingerprinting expenses totaling approximately $60 are reimbursable with proper receipts.
