Job Summary You must know how to operate all pieces of heavy equipment, load/unload the equipment on and off the trailer, bust know how to ratchet strap, use binders and chains. You must have a clean background, clean driver history report. must also have TWIC CARD. As a CDL A truck driver, you’ll move freight safely and reliably across local and over-the-road (OTR) routes. You’ll operate a tractor-trailer, plan trips with GPS navigation, and handle cargo according to its type and applicable safety requirements. Assignments may involve refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation. Responsibilities Drive commercial trucks on route driving and OTR assignments; complete delivery driving and document shipments accurately. Inspect and operate equipment, including vehicles with manual transmissions, and report safety or maintenance concerns. Load and unload freight using safe manual handling practices; secure cargo and verify it is ready for transport. Follow Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including hazardous materials rules when handling hazmat or dangerous goods. Coordinate logistics cargo handling and communicate route or delivery updates as needed. Qualifications Required: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A and the ability to meet applicable commercial driving and DOT requirements. Required: Truck driving, commercial truck driving, tractor-trailer, and delivery driver experience. Required: Safe driving practices, route navigation, and ability to load and unload freight. Preferred: Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation. Preferred: Hazmat qualifications and experience transporting dangerous goods; knowledge of hazardous materials regulations. Pay: $1,800.00 - $8,000.00 per week Work Location: Hybrid remote in Queens, NY
