Duties
• Safely operate tanker trucks to transport Fuel cargo to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and cargo details.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
• Load and unload cargo as required, utilizing forklifts or other equipment when necessary.
• Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
Qualifications
• Must have at least 1-year of fuel hauling experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for tanker operations.
• 2 years of proven experience driving with a class A CDL.
• No moving violation convictions within the last 3 years
• No chargeable accidents withing the last 3 years
• Strong knowledge of manual transmission operation and route driving techniques.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Familiarity with safety protocols related to transporting hazardous materials is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety on the road.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while adhering to delivery schedules.
