We are hiring our first company drivers, and the people who sign on now help decide how this company runs. If you have been hauling coil for a big carrier and are tired of unpaid dock time, slip-seating, and dispatchers who do not know your name, this is the job we built for you. Pay: $35 an hour, W-2, for every hour on the clock, including loading, unloading and waiting. Time-and-a-half after 40. Paid weekly by direct deposit. Home time: Every night. All runs stay in Southeast Michigan. Freight: Steel coil and flat steel on a dedicated automotive account. Conestoga and coil trailers, so no hand tarping. Equipment: All new. Your truck is assigned to you and nobody else. Benefits: Medical with 70% of the premium paid by the company. Dental, vision and disability fully company-paid. 401(k), paid time off and paid holidays. Referral bonus: $5,500 for every driver you bring us who stays nine months. Start date: November 2026. The Pay You are paid $35 an hour from pre-trip to post-trip. That includes the time you spend waiting on a crane, sitting at a dock, or checking your securement before you roll. There is no separate detention rate, no two-hour free window, and no arguing with dispatch about whether your wait counts. If you are on the clock, you are getting paid. Weekly direct deposit, with nothing held back. Overtime at time-and-a-half after 40 hours. Most weeks run six days, so Saturdays are usually overtime. Detention is paid at your full hourly rate, starting the minute you arrive. Driver referral bonus of $5,500 per driver, paid when they reach nine months with us. If you would rather be on salary or a percentage, tell us. We are open to it. We do not do sign-on bonuses that pay out in year two. The rate is the rate, and it is paid every week. The Work This is dedicated steel work for one automotive account in Dearborn. Same customer, same docks, same people every day. You will know the crane operators by name within two weeks, and they will know you. Runs stay in Southeast Michigan, and you are home every night. There is business that has longer lanes. Schedule is Monday through Saturday most weeks, with start times between 5 and 7 a.m. You chain, bind and check your own loads. Coil racks, blocking and securement are yours, and we expect you to be good at it. Conestoga trailers mean no hand tarping. Roll the curtain, secure the load, and go. Pre-trip and post-trip are logged electronically. We run legal hours and do not push you past them. Dispatch is one person who sits at the customer's building. Problems get solved on the phone, not through a message queue. We would rather tell you the hard parts up front. Coil is heavy and unforgiving. Michigan winters are real. And we are a new company, so some things will get figured out as we go. You will be asked what you think, and we will listen. The Equipment Everything is new, and you are the only person who drives your truck. Tractor: New, Michigan multi-axle spec, rated to 160,000 lbs. Trailers: New coil trailers and Conestoga trailers with rolling tarp systems. ELD and dash cam in every truck. Fuel card provided. No slip-seating, and no hand-me-down trucks from a bigger fleet. If something breaks, tell us and we fix it. You will never be asked to run a truck with a known defect. Benefits Health coverage starts the first of the month after 60 days. Paid holidays start at 90 days. Medical: Blue Care Network, two plans to choose from, one HSA-eligible. The company pays 70% of the premium.
