ConfidentialJob Summary Drive a 10-speed tractor-trailer on local delivery routes and return home daily. This independent contractor (1099) role is suited to a safety-focused commercial driver who can operate a manual transmission confidently and handle freight responsibly. Work may involve refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or automobile transportation, depending on assigned loads. Must pass a drug test. NO SAP DRIVERS. Responsibilities Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers safely on local routes and, when assigned, over-the-road (OTR) routes. Use GPS navigation to follow delivery routes, meet schedules, and communicate route or delivery issues. Load and unload freight; secure cargo and complete manual handling tasks using a forklift or other equipment when appropriate. Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, as well as applicable hazardous materials and dangerous goods requirements. Your impact: Safe, careful driving and cargo handling help customers receive freight reliably and protect other road users. Experience Required: Valid Class A commercial driver’s license and demonstrated experience at least 1 year driving a 10-speed manual transmission truck. Required: Commercial truck driving, delivery driving, route driving, and safe tractor-trailer operation experience.
