Header: Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, forklifts, or other equipment, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and route planning. Transport hazardous materials or dangerous goods following hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance issues promptly. Collaborate with dispatch teams for route adjustments, delivery updates, and customer communication to enhance service quality. Header: Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across diverse terrains. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck loading/unloading. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks and specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks when required. Skilled in logistics cargo handling for various freight types including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, flatbed loads, tanker loads, or roll-off trucks. Excellent navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for efficient route planning on over-the-road routes. Physical ability to handle manual loading/unloading tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols for manual handling. Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, customers, and team members in a fast-paced environment.
