CDL A Driver/Dock Supervisor- Driving Required

Dohrn is currently seeking a Full Time Driving Dock Supervisor based out of Effingham, IL Class A CDL Required Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements Preferred Orientation and training will be out of the St. Louis, MO terminal Wage: $70,000/yr - $85,000/yr Benefits: Health / Vision / Dental insurance, 401k matching, life insurance, short/long term disability and more! Purpose: To lead daily dock and city operations, oversee outbound freight execution, and perform pickup and delivery responsibilities as needed to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time service. Responsibilities: Provide training, supervision, feedback, and discipline for hourly Operations team members Route City operation Manage the daily performance of the City Pickup and Delivery Operation for optimal safety, performance, on-time service, cost control, and claims prevention Ensure on-time delivery service in accordance with organizational goals by ensuring pick-ups and deliveries are made timely, efficiently, and returns are kept to a minimum Monitor Line Haul operation Monitor Dock performance and efficiency and adjust manpower as needed Solve problems regarding lost and missing freight Communicate efficiently with other departments to ensure a successful operation Work in a safe and professional manner to reduce personal risks and risk to fellow employees Report all facility problems to the Facility Maintenance Department Comply with federal, state, DOT, and company regulations Process all paperwork daily associated with the execution of the job Perform pickup and delivery routes as assigned Work in a positive, supportive, and cooperative way at all times Perform other duties as needed Qualifications: Minimum age of 23 years High School diploma or equivalent Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred; must obtain and maintain endorsements as required by company policy Minimum of 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience Supervisory experience preferred Ability to work any shift Must have the knowledge and ability to perform all Operations jobs in the terminal, including Dock, Dispatch, Warehouse, Routing, and Pickup & Delivery Driver functions Must pass a road test administered by a Dohrn Transfer Driver Trainer Must possess only one valid CDL issued by the driver's resident state No DUI/OWI or Reckless Driving convictions within the previous 5 years Must have and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Must pass a DOT physical examination and functional screen Must consent to and pass a pre-employment drug screen Must have a negative controlled substances and alcohol record from prior employers for the preceding three-year period No refusal to submit to an alcohol or controlled substance test within the preceding three-year period, including pre-employment testing Must consent to a 10-year employment history review; gaps of 30 days or more must be explained Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong leadership skills Detail-oriented and organized Ability to multi-task and react productively to changing conditions Must meet all physical requirements of the position Must have certification in forklift safety and hazardous material handling or be able to obtain certification Ability to read and write the English language and perform basic mathematical calculations Excellent attendance WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Visual acuity including regular use of items including a computer screen or monitor Lifting various types of materials will be required: cartons, bags, cylind…
