As a CDL A Driver, you will be the face of our company on the road, demonstrating expert driving skills while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles on over-the-road (OTR) routes, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers. Navigate using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries while complying with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards. Load, secure, transport, and unload freight such as hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, or freight requiring manual handling techniques. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and cargo handling records in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Load and unload cargo efficiently using proper manual handling procedures; ensure freight is secured correctly for transit. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route changes, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered on the road. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty vehicles. Prior delivery driver experience with route driving across long distances or regional routes preferred. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tankers, and hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat). Strong knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA guidelines related to truck driving and cargo handling. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently; experience with GPS navigation systems is essential. Demonstrated skill in truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling for various freight types. Valid CDL A license with necessary endorsements for hazardous materials or tanker transportation is highly desirable.
