Drop and hook and live loads. Home every two weeks, often through the house. From CDL school to your own truck A recruiter calls you and reviews your CDL and driving record with you. Orientation, 2 days at most. Hotel paid, one-way bus ticket reimbursed, $300 for orientation once hired. 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor: backing, trip planning, logs and fueling. You are paid $850 a week. Your own assigned truck, about 1.5 years old on average, automatic or 10-speed. For your first 3 months solo, your pay will not drop below $1,000 a week. Straight answers for new drivers "How often will I see home?" Every two weeks, often through the house. "Do I pay for orientation?" No. Hotel covered, bus ticket reimbursed, and $300 once you are hired. "What if I have a problem on the road?" Loads are planned for you, and your driver leader picks up the phone.
