Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver and take charge of delivering heavy equipment and bulk materials across diverse routes with energy and precision! This role is perfect for motivated professional drivers who thrive on handling heavy machinery logistics, transporting bulk aggregates— including sand, gravel, and salt —and ensuring timely, safe deliveries. You'll operate a variety of tractor-trailers, including dump trailers, flatbeds, and lowboys , while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles across regional routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA regulations and DOT standards. Transport bulk aggregate materials and salt utilizing dump trailers, ensuring safe hauling, moisture control, and precise unloading at job sites or storage facilities. Load, secure, and transport heavy construction equipment using lowboys and flatbeds, strictly adhering to weight distribution and tie-down safety protocols. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, focusing on hydraulics, hitch mechanisms, and load-securing equipment. Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing routes for weight-restricted roads and bridges. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and cargo handling records in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Requirements Valid Driver's License (CDL-A required) with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred. Proven experience in heavy hauling, equipment transport, or bulk aggregate/salt delivery driving roles. Strong knowledge of load securement standards for heavy machinery, including the proper use of chains, binders, and straps. Familiarity with dump trailers, lowboys, and flatbed trucks , including operating hydraulic loading ramps and dumping mechanisms. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations , DOT standards, and oversized/overweight load regulations. Excellent driving skills with a sharp focus on job site safety, winter road conditions (for salt transport), and punctuality.
