Overview Drive nationwide over-the-road (OTR) routes as a company CDL-A truck driver, moving freight safely and reliably with drop-and-hook operations. You’ll operate modern 2026 trucks and may handle refrigerated trailers and other equipment based on assigned loads. This role calls for focused driving, sound judgment, and clear attention to cargo and road safety. Your impact: Safe, timely deliveries help customers receive freight and keep supply chains moving. Duties Drive tractor-trailers on OTR and route-driving assignments; use GPS navigation to follow routes and adapt to road conditions. Complete delivery driving, drop-and-hook exchanges, and freight inspections; secure cargo and document load status. Load and unload freight when required, using safe manual-handling practices and equipment such as a forklift when authorized. Follow Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and applicable hazardous materials regulations. Communicate route, equipment, and delivery issues promptly; maintain accurate trip and vehicle records. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL-A) and qualifications required for commercial truck driving; experience with tractor-trailers and manual transmissions is relevant. Demonstrated safe driving, delivery driver, or truck-driving experience; OTR experience is preferred. Knowledge of freight handling, truck loading and unloading, and safe cargo securement. Hazmat or dangerous-goods experience is preferred; follow applicable rules when assigned regulated freight. Experience with refrigerated trailers, automobile transportation, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, or roll-off truck operations—and forklift use—is a plus.
