Why Drive for Kim-Tam? - $1500 SIGN ON BONUS! - No Tarping Required – Conestoga trailers only! - 2000-2500 miles/week - **Drivers typically run 1-3 weeks at a time, with the GOAL of getting our drivers home each week** - Competitive Mileage Pay - Up to $0.69/mile (practical miles) - $0.45/mile (Home Empty Miles) - Extra Pay Opportunities - Short Load Premium (0–200 miles, practical miles) - $50 per pick ; $50 per drop; mileage - $25/drop - $250/weekend layover - Hourly pay for detention and breakdown included - Starting rate of $28.02/hour, $30.51 after 6 months - Paid Weekly Direct Deposit - 2 weeks paid vacation to start (prorated in your first year) Lifestyle Benefits & Perks: - Our Flexible Benefits Program includes three (3) Medical Plan options, all of which include prescription drug, dental and vision coverage. - We offer basic life insurance, STD, and LTD at no cost. - We have a suite of voluntary benefits to choose from including fraud protection and pet insurance! - Samuel's 401(k) Plan provides a 100% company match on up to 5% of your salary deferrals. - Safety Bonus Eligibility - Pet Rider Program - Passenger Program - Driver Referral Bonus — Up to $1,200 - All PPE Provided or Reimbursed What You’ll Do - Haul steel and industrial products across regional routes - Secure loads with straps and chains only — no tarping! - Deliver safely and on time to customers across the US - Handle paperwork and communicate with dispatch as needed What You’ll Need - Valid Class A CDL - Minimum 2 years of experience with tractor-trailer combinations of 48/53 ft - Minimum 6 months flatbed or Conestoga experience strongly preferred - Experience hauling steel or oversized freight strongly preferred - Strong knowledge of DOT/FMSCA safety standards Compliance Requirements: - Possess a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets safety and insurance standards, with no disqualifying violations in the past 36 months as determined by company policy and applicable regulations.* - Compliance with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, including a clear record with no violations prohibiting operation of a commercial motor vehicle.** * Disqualifying violations may include but are not limited to: driving under the influence (DUI), reckless driving, license suspension for traffic-related offenses, and repeated moving violations that indicate a pattern of unsafe driving behavior. Each applicant’s record will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis to determine eligibility. The company reserves sole discretion in determining whether violations or driving history present a disqualifying condition. ** Compliance with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse requires a pre-employment query showing no active violations, such as positive drug or alcohol test results, refusal to test, or other unresolved violations.
