Why Drive for Kim-Tam? - Delivering Locally, Day Shift - Home Every Night and on Weekends - Competitive Hourly Pay - Starting at $27.75 per hour, increasing to $30.22 per hour at 6 months - Annual merit increases - 2 weeks Paid Vacation to start (pro-rated) - Paid Weekly, Direct Deposit - No Tarping Required – Conestoga trailers only! - Well Maintained Equipment - 2023 MAC Tractor Lifestyle Benefits & Perks: - Our Flexible Benefits Program includes three (3) Medical Plan options, all of which include prescription drug, dental and vision coverage. - We offer basic life insurance, STD, and LTD at no cost. - We have a suite of voluntary benefits to choose from including fraud protection and pet insurance! - Samuel's 401(k) Plan provides a 100% company match on up to 5% of your salary deferrals. - Annual Safety Bonus Eligibility - All PPE Provided or Reimbursed What You’ll Do: - Haul steel and industrial products locally while operating a commercial tractor trailer combination, specifically a tandem axle Conestoga flatbed trailer - Secure loads with straps and chains — NO tarping! - Deliver safely and on time to customers across the US - Handle paperwork and communicate with dispatch as needed - Other duties as required What You’ll Need: - Valid Class A CDL - 2+ years of experience operating commercial tractor-trailer combinations of 48/53 feet - 6+ months flatbed or Conestoga experience strongly preferred - Experience hauling steel or oversized freight strongly preferred - Detailed knowledge of DOT/FMSCA safety standards Compliance Requirements: - Possess a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets safety and insurance standards, with no disqualifying violations in the past 36 months as determined by company policy and applicable regulations.* - Compliance with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, including a clear record with no violations prohibiting operation of a commercial motor vehicle.** * Disqualifying violations may include but are not limited to: driving under the influence (DUI), reckless driving, license suspension for traffic-related offenses, and repeated moving violations that indicate a pattern of unsafe driving behavior. Each applicant’s record will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis to determine eligibility. The company reserves sole discretion in determining whether violations or driving history present a disqualifying condition. ** Compliance with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse requires a pre-employment query showing no active violations, such as positive drug or alcohol test results, refusal to test, or other unresolved violations.
