Job Overview Northeast Trucking Services is seeking a reliable, safety-focused CDL-A Company Driver to operate refrigerated tractor-trailers throughout Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and professional transportation of freight while maintaining high standards of customer service. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to representing our company with professionalism at every pickup and delivery location. Duties Safely operate a Class-A commercial tractor-trailer while complying with all DOT regulations and company safety policies. Transport refrigerated freight throughout Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is safe and in proper working condition. Monitor and maintain proper trailer temperature settings to protect product integrity throughout transit. Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD), delivery documentation, and other required transportation records. Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding shipment status, delays, equipment concerns, and scheduling changes. Ensure freight is properly secured and verify shipment information, including bills of lading and delivery receipts. Demonstrate professionalism and provide exceptional customer service when interacting with shippers, receivers, and other partners. Maintain cleanliness and proper care of assigned tractors, trailers, and company equipment. Follow assigned routes and schedules while remaining flexible to accommodate changing operational and customer needs. Experience & Qualifications Valid Class-A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) with a clean and acceptable driving record. Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience operating Class-A tractor-trailers. Experience operating refrigerated trailers and transporting temperature-sensitive freight preferred, but not required. Must meet all applicable DOT and FMCSA requirements, including maintaining a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate. Must successfully complete required DOT drug screening and applicable background checks. Experience operating automatic or manual transmission tractor-trailers. Strong understanding of DOT regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and electronic logging devices (ELDs). Ability to safely operate tractor-trailers in local and regional environments, including congested roads and customer facilities. Availability to work Monday through Friday with flexible start times and schedules based on operational needs. Strong communication and time management skills with a dependable, safety-focused, and professional approach to work.
