Catering Porter and Delivery Driver

Availability: 11AM-7PM Job Overview We’re looking for a reliable and energetic Catering Porter and Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting and unloading catering supplies, big/heavy eqipment, and meals across campus, assisting with warehouse operations, and ensuring timely delivery of orders. Duties Load, unload, and organize catering supplies using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment like pallet jacks. Safely operate a box truck or van to deliver catering orders to various campus locations following designated routes. Assist with warehouse operations, including inventory management and maintaining cleanliness of storage areas. Ensure all deliveries are made in accordance with traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Support moving tasks within the warehouse or event spaces, including heavy lifting and safe manual handling practices. Use mobile devices to document deliveries, update logs, and communicate with team members as needed. Provide friendly customer service during deliveries, answering questions and ensuring client satisfaction. Qualifications Previous warehouse experience or delivery driving experience is preferred but not required. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or box trucks is a plus. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles such as vans or trucks. Experience using material handling equipment like pallet jacks; familiarity with heavy lifting and safe lifting practices is important. Knowledge of route driving, adhering to traffic laws, and DOT regulations for commercial vehicles. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when loading/unloading or managing inventory. Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
