Position: Events & Delivery Team Lead

Are you ready to serve up joy one scoop at a time? We're seeking a full time Events & Delivery Team Lead to join our Joy Factory in Fort Worth to lead in serving up happiness one scoop at a time and to support our Shops through our internal deliveries.

About the Role:

The Events & Delivery Team Lead owns the day-to-day execution, staffing, and quality of MELT’s Events, Catering, and Internal Delivery operations. This role blends hands-on leadership with logistics, people management, and administrative oversight. You will schedule and lead teams, hire and train new team members, respond to inbound event leads, and ensure every event and delivery reflects MELT’s standards for hospitality, efficiency, and fun.

This is a hands-on role—you will be on-site at events regularly, driving vehicles, serving guests, and auditing operations to keep your finger on the pulse of what’s really happening in the field.

What you’ll do:

Team Leadership & Staffing

  • Create and manage weekly schedules for event and delivery teams
  • Hire, train, onboard, and coach new team members
  • Ensure all team members are trained on MELT service standards, safety, and event procedures
  • Work at least one event per week to lead by example and stay connected to operations

Event & Delivery Execution

  • Plan, coordinate, and fulfill catering and vending events (weddings, corporate events, festivals, farmers markets, concerts, etc.)
  • Create event fulfillment sheets and menus for each event
  • Confirm event details with clients and internal teams ahead of execution
  • Anticipate and Train pre-event logistics for loading, transport, setup, service, breakdown, and return of equipment and product
  • Oversee internal deliveries accurately and on time

Client & Sales Support

  • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound catering and event leads
  • Answer client questions and ensure a smooth handoff from booking to execution
  • Represent MELT positively with clients, venues, and partners

Quality Control & Auditing

  • Audit events and deliveries to ensure exceptional service, accuracy, and brand standards
  • Audit the events and delivery areas in the Warehouse regularly
  • Identify gaps or issues and proactively implement improvements
  • Ensure processes and procedures are being followed consistently

Inventory, Equipment & Vehicles

  • Maintain accurate inventory of ice cream, dry goods, and event equipment
  • Utilize Google Sheets and Inventory Management Software weekly
  • Coordinate and audit vehicle maintenance, inspections, cleaning, and logs
  • Log and complete maintenance and cleaning duties for vehicles and event equipment

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Maintain event documentation, logs, and reports
  • Assist with refining processes, checklists, and training materials
  • Support overall Events & Wholesale Operations as needed

Experience and Requirements:

  • 1+ years of food service experience
  • 1+ years of leadership or management experience
  • 1+ years of experience creating and managing employee schedules and logistics
  • 1+ years of experience hiring, training, and leading teams
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Current Food Managers Certification
