Job Description Veritiv is seeking a Category Specialist II &ndash; Construction to support procurement, supplier management, and sourcing activities. The role focuses on evaluating vendors, negotiating purchasing agreements, monitoring costs, and ensuring construction-related products and services meet business requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage sourcing activities for assigned construction-related categories. Identify and evaluate suppliers based on pricing, quality, and reliability. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and purchasing terms. Review purchase requests and coordinate procurement activities. Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery concerns. Analyze purchasing data and identify cost-saving opportunities. Maintain vendor records, contracts, and procurement reports. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. Experience in procurement, category management, or sourcing. Knowledge of vendor negotiations and purchasing procedures. Familiarity with construction products, materials, or services. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement systems. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
