Position Specific Description Partner with Engineering, Project Management, Legal, Construction, Finance, and Operations to develop bid packages, evaluate proposals, resolve commercial issues, and support project execution. Lead strategic sourcing and procurement of major equipment for large-scale natural gas power plant projects, including development of sourcing strategies, competitive solicitations, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards. Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, monitor market conditions and capacity constraints, and identify opportunities to improve supply security, commercial leverage, and total cost. Job Overview This role defines overarching category strategies, particularly for high-spend, high-complexity categories. Employees in this role approve major contracts, lead strategic supplier negotiations, and engage with suppliers to ensure cohesive strategic decisions. This individual contributor acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for category management and advises on complex issues and decisions.
