Category Manager over Beverages

Join Our Team Job Purpose Responsible for delivering growth, evaluating selection decisions, handling brand relationships, improving customer experience and maintaining optimal inventory levels. Duties and Responsibilities Oversees merchandising and sales strategies for assigned categories. Coordinates with vendors and other departments to identify market and sales trends to address customer and client needs. Analyzes data and/or insights to determine industry and consumer trends. Devises long term development strategies for across product categories. Develops exit strategies for unsuccessful or obsolete products. Fosters trust with vendors and internal teams to achieve best pricing and quality of services Orders effectively to ensure product availability meets consumer demands. Determines positioning of product categories to maximize visibility. Collaborates with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities across relevant categories. Collaborates with category managers to expand product categories. Forecasts for product demand to ensure sustainability of inventory. Responsible for budget development and revenue for assigned category/categories. Skills and Education Requirements Proven experience as category manager or experience in a similar role. Extensive knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles. Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods/tools. Proficient in MS Office with emphasis in spreadsheets. Must have strategic and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. BS/BA in business administration, marketing, or related field. Competent using Tecsys Software. Experience with product fulfilment. Ability to understand and focus on customer needs in a retail environment.
