Casual PUF Student Transportation Driver

High Prairie School Division is seeking a reliable and caring individual to provide transportation services for a Program Unit Funded (PUF) student. This part-time position involves transporting one child from their home to school.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick up the PUF student from their home residence
• Transport the student safely to their designated school
• Ensure the student is safely secured in the provided car seat prior to departure
• Follow designated route and adhere to all traffic laws and school division transportation policies
• Operate High Prairie School Division fleet vehicle in a safe and responsible manner
• Maintain punctuality and reliability in daily pickup schedule
• Complete any required daily vehicle inspection checklists
• Report any incidents, concerns, or vehicle issues to the supervisor immediately

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Clean driver's abstract
• Successful completion of criminal record check including vulnerable sector search
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous experience working with children
• Understanding of child passenger safety and proper car seat usage

Working Conditions

• Use of High Prairie School Division fleet vehicle (provided)
• Car seat will be provided by the school division
• Monday to Thursday schedule as per the school year calendar
• Weather-dependent travel conditions
• Approximate work time: 120 minutes per day
