Casual Package Delivery Courier — $24/hr

Our company is looking for a casual courier in Cranbrook, BC to pick up and deliver packages on an assigned route. You will work flexible shifts, with at least 4 shifts a month, and handle customer service and tracking tasks along the way.

nd deliver packages along your assigned route in a safe, professional manner.
- Check that each shipment matches Federal Express Canada's service features and is labelled and documented correctly.
- Load your van, plan the route, and keep packages, equipment and vehicles secure.
- Record stop counts and missorts, and use the company's tracking and dispatch systems accurately.
- Answer customer questions about services and Canada, US and international shipping requirements.
- Pass sales leads and market changes to the sales department.
- Depending on the location and workload, you may also load or unload aircraft and containers and sort and scan packages.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record. The posting notes candidates need no more than two violations or collisions in the past 24 months.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass the mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training.
- Able to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs using proper equipment.
- Strong customer service, communication, time management and organizational skills, and the ability to handle a busy, high-pressure environment.
- One year of customer-oriented business experience is preferred; knowledge of our company operations and Canadian Customs rules is an asset.
