Casual Delivery Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, communication, and efficient handling of deliveries to meet operational goals. Responsibilities Safely operate personal and commercial vehicles to deliver products to customers and clients according to scheduled routes. Assist with packing delivery items, as required. Load and unload cargo, utilizing equipment such as Cambro hot food carriers when necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods. Assist with moving heavy or bulky items, adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and material handling. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with managers, kitchen and customers regarding delivery status. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries professionally and ensuring customer satisfaction during delivery interactions. Follow all traffic laws, safety guidelines, and company policies during transportation activities. Qualifications A valid standard driver’s license with a clean driving record and personal vehicle is required. Hospitality or food service experience is a bonus Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks related to loading/unloading cargo. Prior experience in delivery or driving roles helpful. Excellent time management skills to adhere to delivery schedules efficiently. Reliable transportation for commuting to various delivery locations.
