Company Overview Castings USA, Inc. is an established foundry specializing in pouring gray iron, ductile iron, Ni-Hard, and high chrome alloys. We are looking for a dependable, hands-on person with a sharp eye for detail. Your primary responsibility will be the final inspection and repair of iron castings, followed by getting finished products ready for shipping.. Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Casting Inspector for Finishing & Shipping. This role involves inspecting, repairing, welding, grinding, and verifying castings against quality standards while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements. This person will also prepare castings for shipping and perform other duties around the foundry as time permits. The ideal candidate will be energetic, proactive, and passionate quality. Responsibilities Conduct dimensional measurements and visual inspections of castings. Interpret mechanical blueprints and manufacturing documents accurately to verify casting specifications Execute welding procedures for finishing castings, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards Palletize and package finished castings for shipment and facilitate paperwork for shipping. Skills Strong attention to detail combined with excellent analysis skills for defect identification and resolution. Must be able to perform basic weld repairs and operate hand tools such as grinders. Must be able to drive a fork lift. Experience with manufacturing processes related to casting finishing and shipping operations A self-starter who stays productive when the workload changes.
