Responsibilities Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash handling, credit card payments, and returns Provide friendly, professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits of select items, enhancing customer engagement and upselling opportunities Stock shelves efficiently by receiving shipments, organizing products, and maintaining attractive displays through merchandising best practices Assist customers with locating products and offer suggestions to increase sales through upselling techniques Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring proper cash drawer handling and adherence to cash register operations procedures Support store operations by participating in inventory counts, stock replenishment, and ensuring product knowledge is up-to-date for effective customer assistance Experience Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn Supervising experience is a plus, especially in overseeing team members during busy shifts or training new staff Bilingual skills are highly desirable to better serve diverse customer needs Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening, are essential for engaging customers effectively Basic math skills are necessary for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail store product knowledge will help you succeed in this role This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their retail expertise while providing top-tier service.
