Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for quick and efficient checkout processes Manage cash handling procedures with precision, including processing payments and giving correct change Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about merchandise to encourage sales Upsell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities while respecting customer preferences Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability Support inventory management through stock replenishment and accurate record keeping Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely Apply basic retail math skills for transactions, pricing, and inventory counts Foster a positive shopping environment by communicating clearly and courteously with customers and team members Skills Proven experience in retail sales or cashiering roles, preferably in grocery stores or similar environments Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus Supervising experience is advantageous for supporting team members and maintaining store operations Excellent customer service skills, including patience, active listening, and problem-solving abilities Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management practices to keep the sales floor appealing Professional phone etiquette for handling inquiries efficiently and courteously Experience conducting product demos and upselling to enhance sales performance This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
