Duties Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process retail sales transactions and handle cash register operations with precision. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and guiding them through product features. Conduct product demos to showcase new or featured items, encouraging upselling opportunities that benefit both customers and the store. Manage cash handling duties including cash drawer balancing, cash register reconciliation, and secure cash drawer handling. Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise displays, and merchandising products to maximize sales potential. Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and conducting stock counts as needed. Demonstrate strong communication skills by engaging with customers in a bilingual capacity if applicable, maintaining professional phone etiquette for inquiries or assistance. Experience Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments where product knowledge is essential. Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in guiding team members or managing store operations during shifts. Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures ensures smooth transaction processing. Experience in conducting product demos or upselling techniques enhances customer engagement and sales performance. Strong basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising strategies, and stock management improves overall store presentation.
