Responsibilities Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly. Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and issuing receipts with precision. Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and providing product recommendations. Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, enhancing their shopping experience. Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining attractive displays to support merchandising efforts. Promote upselling by suggesting complementary products or upgrades to maximize sales opportunities. Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Support inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory counts as needed. Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and assist customers promptly. Apply basic retail math skills for transactions, discounts, and price calculations in a fast-paced environment. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Supervising experience is a plus, especially in guiding new team members or managing shifts. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and cash drawer handling enhances performance in this role. Experience with retail math, merchandising, and product knowledge will support your success. Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills is essential for creating positive shopping experiences. Prior experience in grocery stores or retail environments involving sales transactions and cashier duties is advantageous.
