Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service through active communication and attentive listening Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities Maintain the cash drawer by handling cash register operations with precision and ensuring balanced cash handling at shift end Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and merchandising displays to enhance store presentation Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and inventory counts Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone inquiries or follow-up calls Engage in retail math calculations for sales totals, discounts, and returns while ensuring accuracy in all transactions Provide knowledgeable assistance on store products, including grocery items if applicable, to help customers make informed choices Promote store promotions and product demos to boost sales and enhance the shopping experience Experience Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar fast-paced environments Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is highly desirable Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in guiding team members or managing customer interactions Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases effectively Strong communication skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining professionalism Experience in merchandising, stocking, or retail math enhances your ability to succeed in this role Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail store product knowledge is beneficial for providing exceptional service This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their retail expertise while delivering memorable shopping experiences.
