Duties Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections. Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities to enhance sales. Handle cash register operations including cash handling, cash drawer management, and basic math calculations for transactions. Maintain store presentation through stocking shelves, merchandising products attractively, and ensuring inventory is organized. Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling appointments. Support sales goals by promoting store promotions, upselling products, and providing personalized shopping assistance. Assist in inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and product placement to optimize store layout. Experience Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Supervising experience is a plus, especially in guiding new team members or managing customer interactions during busy periods. Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations enhances efficiency but can be trained on-site. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging customers and collaborating with team members. Basic math skills are necessary for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and customer service best practices will help you succeed.
