Cashier/Customer Service Representative

Duties Operate the cash register accurately, handling all retail sales transactions with precision and efficiency. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product selections. Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities to enhance sales. Manage cash drawer handling, ensuring accurate cash handling and balancing at the end of each shift. Stock shelves and merchandise displays to maintain an organized, attractive store environment aligned with merchandising standards. Assist in inventory management by stocking products, conducting stock counts, and supporting inventory replenishment efforts. Use POS (Point of Sale) systems confidently for sales processing, returns, and exchanges while maintaining excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential. Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued for engaging diverse customer bases. Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math for handling transactions accurately. Experience supervising or leading small teams is a plus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are appreciated for supporting team efforts. Knowledge of retail store product lines and merchandising principles to assist customers effectively. Ability to perform retail math calculations quickly and accurately for cash handling and sales totals. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to foster positive interactions both in person and over the phone.
