Cashier/Customer Service Representative

Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, offering product demos when applicable Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and issuing receipts Provide knowledgeable assistance on store products, including merchandising and stock availability Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restocking supplies and ensuring merchandise is well-presented Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Support stocking duties by organizing shelves, managing inventory levels, and participating in product replenishment Engage in basic retail math to ensure accurate transaction totals and change distribution Assist with product demos for customers interested in trying new items or learning about features Skills Proficiency in POS systems and cash register operations with strong cash handling skills Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments preferred Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with diverse customers in bilingual settings if applicable Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle inquiries politely and professionally Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and inventory management techniques Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions, discounts, and promotions Familiarity with upselling strategies to maximize sales while ensuring customer satisfaction Demonstrated phone etiquette skills for professional remote communication Experience with grocery store operations or similar environments is advantageous Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding service while growing your skills in a fast-paced retail setting.
