Cashier/Customer Service

Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our retail team. This role is vital in providing exceptional service to our customers, managing transactions accurately, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have experience with retail operations. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base. Duties Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and integrity Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with questions, product locations, and recommendations Conduct product demos to promote new or featured items and enhance customer engagement Upsell products and suggest additional items to increase sales opportunities Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring products are well-stocked and attractive Assist with stocking shelves, organizing inventory, and ensuring the sales floor is clean and orderly Support in inventory management through stock counts and product replenishment Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely Supervise or assist less experienced team members when needed to ensure smooth store operations Skills Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customers effectively Basic math skills for handling transactions, giving correct change, and performing retail math calculations Customer service orientation with a friendly and professional attitude Ability to upsell products tactfully while maintaining customer satisfaction Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is advantageous Supervising experience is a plus for leadership roles within the team Knowledge of grocery store operations is beneficial but not required Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers both in person and over the phone Pay: From $12.00 per hour Work Location: In person
