Responsibilities Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide product information Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision and integrity Assist customers with product selection, upselling items to enhance their shopping experience Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restock shelves, and ensure merchandise displays are attractive and well-stocked Use strong communication skills to address customer inquiries in person professionally Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and participating in stock replenishment and inventory management Qualifications Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially in restaurants, grocery stores, or similar environments Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and transaction balancing Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base effectively Experience supervising or mentoring team members is advantageous but not required Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their retail expertise while delivering outstanding service.
