Cashier/Customer Service

Responsibilities Operate POS systems accurately to process cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining cash handling integrity Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities and meet sales goals Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store is inviting and well-organized Use strong phone etiquette to handle inquiries professionally and direct customers appropriately Assist in inventory management through stock replenishment and participating in periodic stock checks Support team members with supervising experience by guiding new staff or volunteers when necessary to ensure smooth store operations Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided Demonstrated ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and retail math calculations Bilingual skills are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse customer groups Strong communication skills with an emphasis on friendly, clear interaction both face-to-face and over the phone Experience in supervising or leading small teams is advantageous but not mandatory; a proactive attitude is key Familiarity with POS systems, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies enhances performance in this role This position is ideal for motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy engaging with customers, and are eager to develop their retail sales skills.
