Cashier and Stocker

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cashier/Stocker to join our team at a busy grocery store. This role is essential for ensuring that our customers have a pleasant shopping experience by providing excellent service at the cash register and maintaining well-stocked shelves. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, processing transactions, and assisting with stock replenishment. Responsibilities Operate the cash register efficiently, handling customer transactions accurately. Stock shelves with products, ensuring that items are organized and displayed attractively. Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory control to prevent stock shortages. Use RF scanners to track stock movement and manage product placement. Collaborate with team members to ensure a clean and safe shopping environment. Assist customers with inquiries and provide product information as needed. Perform basic retail math calculations for accurate pricing and discounts. Utilize forklifts and pallet jacks safely when moving large quantities of stock. Skills Experience in grocery store operations or retail environments is preferred. Proficient in cash register operations and handling financial transactions. Familiarity with inventory control processes and stock management. Ability to operate RF scanners for efficient tracking of merchandise. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. Basic knowledge of retail math for pricing accuracy and sales calculations. Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus but not required. A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail in all tasks.
