Duties Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and quickly Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer management, and balancing registers at shift end Deliver excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and guiding them through product selections Assist with stocking shelves and merchandising to ensure products are well-presented and accessible Conduct product demos when appropriate to enhance customer engagement and promote sales opportunities Upsell relevant products to maximize sales and improve the customer experience Maintain professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries Support inventory management by participating in stock checks and replenishment activities Qualifications Previous cashiering experience or familiarity with cash register operations preferred but not required; training will be provided Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers positively in both English and bilingual settings if applicable Basic math skills for handling transactions, making change, and performing retail math calculations accurately Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment Experience with POS systems, retail sales transactions, and cash handling is highly desirable Supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus for those interested in growth opportunities within the team Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and inventory management practices is beneficial, with opportunities to transition to new roles and higher pay if desired.
